About
Arco IrisH
We bring business psychology to bear on our clients' most pressing people issues. Every solution we deliver has a deep knowledge of psychology at its core.
Our Story
Arco Iris is the Spanish for "rainbow," a symbol of good luck. The name reflects a firm built between Ireland and Spain that operates globally.
Arco Irish was founded in 2020 by Paul Herrick after more than two decades of international corporate leadership. Having spent 22 years living and working in Madrid, Paul returned to Galway in the west of Ireland to build something different: a boutique executive search company grounded in business psychology and corporate experience.
Today the firm operates across Europe, serving clients from Euro Stoxx 50 multinationals to fast-growing Irish technology companies. Both members of the team hold postgraduate qualifications in occupational psychology and have spent their careers at the intersection of business and behavioural science.
Our clients work directly with senior practitioners, not junior researchers. That is a deliberate choice and one we have no intention of changing.
Our Values
Excellence
We hold ourselves to the same standard we set for the leaders we place. Every search, every coaching engagement, every piece of advice reflects our commitment to exceptional work.
Courage
We tell clients and candidates what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. Honest feedback, even when it is uncomfortable, is central to how we operate.
Insight
We apply behavioural science and psychometrics rather than relying on instinct alone. Our recommendations are grounded in evidence, not guesswork.
Partnership
We invest in long-term relationships with our clients. We succeed when the leaders we place succeed, and we stay engaged well beyond the point of placement.
The People Behind The Partnership
Paul Herrick
Paul is based between Madrid and Dublin, managing executive search, coaching and consulting assignments globally. He has lived and worked across Europe, Asia and the Middle East, leading HR and Talent Management functions for some of the world's leading organisations.
Before founding Arco IrisH, Paul served as Vice President of Human Resources EMEA at Burson-Marsteller for over a decade, where he also led a pan-EMEA Business Transformation consulting practice. Prior to that, he was Global Head of Talent Management at Amadeus and Group Chief People Officer at Clune Tech.
Paul is a certified executive coach, conference speaker, and guest lecturer at IE Business School. His case studies have been published in two books by Janice Caplan, former Vice President of the CIPD. He holds a BA in Psychology from NUIG and a Masters in Occupational Psychology from UCC. He is fluent in Spanish.
Daniel Rodriguez
Daniel has spent over 20 years in research, consultancy and corporate environments across Human Factors, Talent Management and Acquisition. His work has consistently focused on human performance optimisation through evidence-based, data-driven methodologies.
In 2018, Daniel founded Mitolab, bringing together his expertise in occupational psychology with additional qualifications in health coaching and human physiology. This cross-disciplinary perspective on sustained high performance is something he applies directly to his executive search work.
As Client Partner at Arco IrisH, Daniel helps clients build high-performing teams across Technology, Professional Services, Healthcare, Pharma, and Health & Fitness. He holds a Masters in Occupational Psychology from the University of Surrey.
